Hampton Inn & Suites Cedar Rapids - North

Very nice newer property! Location perfect, easy to find for north side of CR.

The wife and I started planning this trip in March for Christmas with a family reunion. Originally we planned our stay to be at the Ramada Inn and Suites on the SW side of CR. We had two rooms booked for a total of 10 days plus a banquet room and food. Upon checking on everything just after Thanksgiving we found that Wyndham had sold the property and the new owners were not recognizing reservations made prior to sale. This placed is in a bad place trying to find a new place. Upon calling this place we received nothing but help, Matthew was very helpful in planing the meeting room needs. The rest of the staff was amazing from housekeeping to the front desk. This property is mostly business travelers and the week before Christmas was slow so can’t resound to noise level issues. To the property owners, you seem to have a good staff that work hard to keep your place clean. With that saying you might want to upgrade some of the features that you provide. The lack of USB ports are a sure sign of nothing being upgraded for a time. Breakfast was the normal rotation of Hampton food, it was well prepared by friendly staff and served in clean space.

Very nice property. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good and typical of a Hampton. Thought I got a very fair rate, and had a nice room, which was clean. Only demerit is that the pool towels could use some Downy. At least I defoliated my skin, LOL. I recommend staying here, and would go back if my travels bring me to CR again.

The rooms are great. Very clean and overall great facility. My only complaint is that they had a large kids hockey team staying with them and they were not prepared to deal with hundreds of kids that were not under full parental supervision. They ran the halls all night like the Kentucky derby. At one point we stoped the kids and said “this is not recess” to which one kid said “it kind of is” and ran off. If you’re going to accept these large groups you have to have the staff on hand to ensure the enjoyment of all your guest staying there. I say all of this as a parent that stayed there with my child and I’d never let them run like horses up and down the halls all night.

Out of all the hotels I've stayed at this has been the best experience, everyone friendly, clean hotel, really comfortable beds and good breakfast.

Staff that checked us in (late night) was wonderful. Very friendly and accommodating. Hotel is clean and bright. Room was large and very clean. Hampton Inn beds are the most comfortable compared to most other large brand hotels which is one of the reasons we look for Hampton Inn when traveling. Breakfast was good, well stocked and good choice of hot and cold options. Coffee and tea bar is 24 hours which was nice, had several options for both. We'll definitely stay here again!

The employees are AMAZING and keep the rooms immaculate. Not only are they friendly, but they are helpful and go out of their way to help with anything you need. From the food staff (one brown hair lady with glasses in particular!) and a housekeeper with white blonde hair in her late 40s- our stay was especially awesome because of you. We continue coming back to this specific location because you guys go above and beyond, the experience we walk away with each time is second to none, so you will continue receiving our faithful loyalty. We stay here several times a year, and have yet to be disappointed in any way. Thanks for all that you do!!
